Kula Yoga is a creative full-spectrum approach to embodying the flow of yoga. These innovative classes are best for students seeking a yoga practice that enhances awareness, inner/outer strength, fluidity and movement meditation. Kula is the sanskrit word for community. With you in mind, each class offers a love of sequencing, poetry and the energetics needed for the class on any giving day. This class will offer options for both newer to yoga and experienced practitioners alike; please honor your experience as you test your edges in this class. This Traditional Yoga system comes from the Shiva-Shakta tantra school, Shri Kali Ashram, which consists of practices such as asana, mantra, yantra, puja (ritual), kundalini, dhyana (meditation), samadhi and more. Asanas are taught from a Tantric formula based on the subtle energy system which is essentially Ayurvedic Science. One of the main practices will be a Tri-Dosha Balancing Asana Series which is an overall health series that builds a wholesome being, advancing towards other practices and meditation. The teacher guides a student through an asana sequence in a relaxing flow which allows their mind and body to express in meditation. By approaching an asana in a relaxing mediative state a student develops an intuitive body awareness preventing injuries, removes competitive motives to progress skillfully, allows prana to flow without restriction, cultures the sub-conscious to be free of any stored trauma or clutter and just let go, enjoy and allow their true self to express. This is a complete practice that builds a person to be strong from the inside-out, aligns body structure, balances internal systems which directly influences phycological health and ultimately enriches life, happiness for ourselves and others. Suitable for all levels of practner as modifications will be offered.
In Mindful Vinyasa, the goal is to create a practice that utilizes the components of Vinyasa yoga class while flowing with more awareness. In Mindful Vinyasa there is time to slow down, tune inward, and hold the space of each posture. Additionally, mindfulness will come into play as there will be a focus on maintaining proper alignment throughout each asana.

As the names says, RISEnSHINE! These 7:30am hour classes are a great way to start your day. When your schedule only allows 60 minutes it's a perfect yoga class for balancing life's demands, while taking some "you" time. The sequences are shorter, but features alignment based sequences of asanas, breath work, and still with a moment to absorb and rest in savasana.
